Brutus Östling har efter ett flertal stora fotoböcker av en enig kritikerkår utnämnts till mästare och fotograf i världsklass. Nu kommer årets fågelkalender med pärlor ur Brutus Östlings bildskatt.
2009 mottog Brutus Östling Augustpriset i faktakategorin för boken Att överleva dagen. Hans fågelbilder är oefterhärmliga och enastående. Hösten 2011 utger Norstedts Under asfalten vilar en strand - om albatrosserna på Midway mitt i Stilla Havet. Då kommer också hans Fågelkalender för 2012 i stort format (330 X 450 mm) med fakta om fågelåret och bildtexter av Susanne Åkeson.
